The Lancashire Tapestry

An 18-metre tapestry woven at John Spencer Textiles in Burnley, the last remaining traditional cotton weaver in Lancashire, and made from recycled cotton. The imagery draws on photographs from the Talbot Archive — a record of Blackburn and its surroundings across seven decades — alongside images of the Queen during her reign and her visits to Lancashire.

Unveiled at Blackburn Cathedral for the Platinum Jubilee, the tapestry was shown with seventy minutes of recordings: seventy voices, each with their own memories.
